Hijama Cupping

(or Wet Cupping)

Hijama Cupping Therapy (HCT), also known as wet cupping, is a natural detoxification that cleanses the body on a cellular level through the lymphatic system. Dry Cupping will be done and several shallow incisions will be made upon the skin at the cupped site. Then tiny superficial incisions are made in the top layer of the skin to allow toxins and impurities to be released. HCT is a very safe treatment with minimal after effects.

Common questions about Hijama Cupping Therapy

How is it done?

After your consultation and intake review with our Certified Hijama Practitioner (CHP), you will begin the HCT process. Your CHP will begin by using a moving cupping technique, applying oil to the skin and massaging the area with a suction cup. Suction cups are then applied to particular areas, depending on what your CHP determines. This technique will cause the skin to expand, or swell, bringing toxins up to the surface. After completing this process, your CHP will begin the Hijama, or wet cupping technique. The surface layer of your skin is lightly scored at specific pressure points on your body and a suction cup is placed on top of these areas. This technique allows the toxins and impurities to escape your body. Your body replenishes itself with healthier blood flow and stimulates proper and normal healing at a cellular level.
